Successful Fun Day

A boating fun day was recently held at the National Boating and Activities Centre Attentive. The day went well, and was well attended by cadets from accross the corps. 73 cadets in total enjoyed the activities on offer. The organisers would like to thank all officers and senior cadets who helped make the day the success it was. If you attended the day, and have any comments or suggestions, please contact Ch/O Paul Pomfrey.

Just a reminder, that Attentive will be hosting a Powerboat Awareness day on Sunday 20th May. Places are limited, and on a first come, first served basis. Contact NBAC Attentive for further details. Thanks to 1/0 Paul Pomfrey for the report.

Fun Day, Sunday 1 October

Our field correspondent reports:

The weather was very poor, so the cadets could really only do power boating.  Canoeing took place, but only the more experienced canoeists were allowed on the water.  Sailing did not happen as the weather was too rough.

54 cadets took part, plus officers and parents.  TS Valiant was the only ship to take part in the Raft Race.  On its first time on the water, the crew of 4 sank and got very wet; the raft then had a crew of one or two, and all the cadets had a great time thanks to 2/O Keith Larsson.  A big thanks to the staff from Attentive and Lion, and parent helpers, for a great day's boating.
