Our field correspondent
reports:
The weather was very poor, so the cadets could really
only do power boating. Canoeing took place, but only the more
experienced canoeists were allowed on the water. Sailing did not
happen as the weather was too rough.
54 cadets took part, plus officers and parents.
TS Valiant was the only ship to take part in the Raft Race. On its
first time on the water, the crew of 4 sank and got very wet; the raft
then had a crew of one or two, and all the cadets had a great time thanks
to 2/O Keith Larsson. A big thanks to the staff from Attentive and
Lion, and parent helpers, for a great day's
boating. |
